Kuramthi Blue Lagoon

The Blue Lagoon, one of three resorts located at the very Western tip of Kuramathi Island, is a wondrous holiday experience for you. The Blue Lagoon is a narrow sandbar, running far into the ocean, surrounded by crystal blue water with gentle waves constantly lapping at your feet. This isolated existence with nothing but the beach and the lagoon, as your sole company is the ultimate Robinson Crusoe experience you could have ever dreamed of. A relaxation jetty runs out far away into the lagoon where you can take a stroll by, or just sit and relax right next to the deep blue ocean. You can witness the schools of stingrays that gently gather around the Relaxation Jetty each evening.

Twenty water bungalows on stilts ensure you exquisite peace and serenity, with only the sound of the surf to keep company throughout your holiday. The 36 beach bungalows situated at the edge of the lagoon and surrounded by the indigeneous vegetation gives a scenic uplift to your heart, treading the thin line between reality and fantacy.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at the main restaurant, The Blue Lagoon restaurant. However, the highlight of your dining away may be the La Lagoon Grill, the outdoor Island Barbicue grill, the Thai restaurant Siam Garden or the exlusive Indian restuarant Tandoor Mahal. You can also relax at the Blue Lagoon Cofee Shop to catch a light snack and the Laguna Bar facing the huge lagoon of Kuramathi will serve you your choice of alchoholic and nonalchoholic drinks and cocktails.

The island's sports centre comes with a swimming pool, floodlit tennis court, gymnasium, Jacuzzi and sauna. The resort also has a water sports centre, which facilitates windsurfing, sailing, catamaran sailing, canoeing, water skiing and banana riding.
